We’re For the Birds
Birdsong is a 170 acre historic ranch property, with habitat ranging from Oak woodland and savanna, coastal sage scrub, and a riparian zone along the Ventura River. The ranch is a private preserve being restored from long term agricultural and grazing use to focus on habitat for native birds; and increasing biodiversity and beauty using native plants.

Birds
Restoration and preservation of the ranch is first and foremost for bird study and the many benefits ornithology can bring to people and the environment. Here you will find species lists, eBird links and resources.
-

Plants
Native plants are the foundation of the work at the ranch, they facilitate healing of the landscape and ecosystem, and support bird life. They are also the most beautiful backdrop we could hope for in creating a place to study birds and our local ecosystem.

Events
Community partnerships, events and happenings are listed here; community and collaboration is needed more than ever to help conserve our native birds and ecosystems.
